Learn:
-
Maximize the yield of the chemical without jeopardizing quality
-
How to identify and correct improperly processed foam
-
Critical and practical safety guidelines to protect the sprayer, occupant and avoid costly OSHA fines
-
Step by step processes and procedures from startup to shutdown
-
The “must knows” of gun and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
-
Critical site conditions to pay attention to
-
Stories from our experienced staff of past mistakes and successes that will provide invaluable learning lessons
SPFA PCP Training
& Certification
AFT is pleased to offer SPFA PCP CERTIFICATION into our training program. Contractors will be able to take prep courses and exams that will earn them the SPFA Certification for various levels including:
-
Level 1 - Spray Foam Insulation Assistant
-
Level 2 – Spray Foam Insulation Installer
-
Level 3 – Spray Foam Master Insulation Installer
In-Field Training
AFT provides in-field training for spray application. We can travel to you to guide you with startup procedures, to spray technique, to shutdown procedures and common sense troubleshooting guidelines. We will leave you with written instructions and guidelines to follow to help guide you to future success!
Unique Applications
Do you have a unique application that requires the guidance of experienced applicators? Our senior technicians have hands-on experience in a variety of unique and challenging spray foam applications; some of which include, pour-fill applications, skyscrapers, private islands, high and low-pressure applications, cold storage, roofing foam systems, extreme weather applications, and more. If you are working on a project with a unique application, give us a call today - we would love to help!
Quality Control
Procedures
Spray polyurethane foam plastic is literally manufactured onsite, without the benefits of a factory controlled environment. Hundreds of variables come into play that can affect the final plastic product. To ensure the spray foam is safe and effective, these variables must be controlled and monitored through effective quality control measures. AFT will put together comprehensive and practical quality control procedures for your company to follow. Effective quality control will not only only result in happier customers, but will reduce liability and costly repairs.
Building Science Support
Many spray foam failures are the result of an improperly designed insulation system. In order for spray foam to be safe and effective, the proper chemical, equipment, application, and building science must all work together. Designing an effective and sustainable building envelope starts with a solid understanding of building science, which includes elements such as vapor drive, dew points, convection currents, heat transfer, code criteria, and even the chemistry of spray foam. Architects, builders and spray foam contractors often consult with AFT during the initial design phase to assess the thermal envelope conditions and select a suitable insulation system that is appropriate for budget and objectives. We always remind our clients that building science is usually not black and white, but rather a game of odds, educating them as to what design specifications will shift the odds towards lasting success.
